Our full service department offers a variety of repairs to out-of-warranty iPods.
PLEASE NOTE - IF YOU REQUIRE A REPAIR FOR AN IPHONE YOU SHOULD FIRST E-MAIL nicole@igear.co.za to be sure you are selecting the right option.
The process works as follows:
- Your send the iPod to us via speed services counter to counter to P.O Box 53236, Kenilworth, 7745, Western Cape.
- We will diagnose the iPod and email you a quote for repairs
- If you accept the quote, you pay us the quoted amount and we commence the repairs
- We send the item back to you at our cost
- Please note that we only do work on the problem specified on your order. We can in no way be held responsible for any other problems that occur with your unit. It is your responsibility to disclose fully any problems with your unit prior to sending the unit to us. Failure to disclose fully your unit's problems, will result in the unit being retunred to you with no work being carried out.
Prices include labour and replacement parts, but exclude a R25 ship-back fee.

Use the below guide to see if your iPod needs to be repaired:
1.Screen

-Cracked display making it impossible to read all the text.
-Blue 'ink spill' stain on screen.
-No text just backlight working.
2.Hard Drive

-Sad ipod logo on screen.
-Folder and ! on screen (which can't be fixed with restore).
-Apple logo + clicking/whirring or constant rebooting.
-36 error when attempting to load music from iTunes.
-iPod skips through songs.
3.Logic Board

-iPod wont connect to computer (but works normally in every other aspect).
-No signs of life at all even if connected to power.
4.Battery

-iPod only lasts for a short while after charging.
-iPod works fine when connected to power but dies when isn't.
5.Front with click wheel

-Buttons or scroll action not responding
6.Headphone jack assembly

-Sound from one headphone or only get sound when headphone plug is held in a certain position
